Submitting General Images
General image submissions use the REcommended Metadata for Biological Images (REMBI) standard to describe biological images and their metadata. This standard facilitates the sharing and reuse of biological image data across research communities and platforms.
Prerequisites
Important
This section applies if you are submitting images to a Biodata profile [1]. For sample image submissions under Tree of Life (ToL) [2] profiles, see Uploading Sample Images section.
A Biodata profile is needed to proceed with this section. Refer to Steps to Create a Biodata Profile to create one. Skip this step if you have already done so.
Note
Samples: Submit samples before uploading image manifests. See Samples submission (under Biodata Profiles) for details.
Data files: Upload all required data files before submitting image manifests. See: Uploading Data Files.
